Oakland Train Station
The
Oakland Train Station, now on the National Register, is among
the nation's most distinguished, historic depots. This fully
renovated 1884 Queen Anne-style station is also one of the
oldest in the country. The station is open to the public and
group tours are available.

The Garrett County Historical Society Museum
A repository of local artifacts and treasures, the Garrett County
Historical Society Museum offers a glimpse into the daily lives
of the early settlers and more recent residents of this mountainous
area. The museum library boasts numerous local genealogical
records and other historic documentation. Located along Second
Street in Oakland, the museum is open to the public.
